The Zeltro desktop app is free for personal use. A business using it needs a commercial license: US$99.99, paid once. It’s a lifetime license that covers everyone in the business and every future version.
Do you need one?
Free, no license needed
- Personal use, and your own hobby projects
- Learning, studying and experimenting
- Schools, students, charities and other noncommercial organizations, for their noncommercial work

- Doing paid work with it, such as building projects for clients

One license covers the whole business, whatever its size, for good. If you are not sure which side you are on, ask me. I would rather answer the question than have you guess. The full terms are in the license agreement.
How to get one
Right in the app. In Zeltro, open Settings → License and choose Buy a license. Your key arrives by email, and you paste it into the same place. Your license covers you from the day you buy. On an older version without that button, update Zeltro first (Updates, in the app’s footer), or email me.

Questions
What does “lifetime” mean?
You pay once. There is no renewal, and the license covers every future version of the app.
How many people and computers does it cover?
Everyone in the business, on as many computers as you use it on.
Does the app stop working without a license?
No. Every feature works and nothing is time-limited. Until a key is entered, the app shows a small license reminder at the top of the project list.
What about the zeltro command line tool?
It stays open source under the MIT license: free for any use, including commercial use. The commercial license only covers the desktop app.
Can I share the key?
Only within your business. Please don’t share it outside the business or publish it: a key that’s been shared or published can be disabled.
I lost my license key.
Email canebaycomputers@gmail.com with your business name and I’ll issue you a replacement key. For your security the original isn’t kept anywhere it could be sent again.
Do I also pay for AI?
Yes, but not to me. Zeltro uses the AI you choose, so you pay your AI provider directly (a subscription, an API key, or nothing with a local model). The license fee is for the app itself.
Can you set it up for my business instead?
Yes. I also do that as a service: your projects set up, put on your own server with your domain, and kept running.
